Richard Taylor of RMTWeb became fed up like me and put together a package of fonts to restore Calibri and Cambria fonts on the Mac. Calibri Font Family Free Downloadįor years I have ignored this as an annoyance, but today I decided to do something about it.
The size of the latest setup package available for download is 173 kb. Calibri is a modern sans serif family with subtle roundings on stems and corners. The family includes 18 fonts in three basic weights (light, regular and bold) and an italic style. Calibri is a sans-serif typeface family designed by Lucas de Groot in 2004 and released by Microsoft in January 2007. Calibri has an eight-pixel default line spacing which looks nice on the screen. If you open Microsoft formatted documents on your Mac like I do then you have probably run across the annoying message saying the Calibri or Cambria font is missing. There are many fonts that look good on the screen, but the only difference is the spacing. One of my very, only a few annoyances when moving to the Mac platform was the lack of Calibri and Cambria font, so I did some study and found them after a lot of digging around. Whether Calibri appears as part of Office 2008 for Mac, we'll have to wait and see. So the answer would appear to be 'no', at least not right now.
